and never the twain shall meet!
Lesson taken from today, while a recipe book can help with Maths, one of my main practical uses of maths now a days is cooking, a maths book is not a recipe book.
Sam’s maths lesson from Saxon today involved measuring and following a recipe, I ummed about digging one of my usual recipe out (or a US equiv so we were measuring in cups) but the proportions in the recipe worked well for measuring and the instructions simple enough to leave him to it.
Took them out 20 min early and they were cake! Sad disappointment (although I was expecting it) but they seem to have disappeared into the boys and their friends quickly enough. But goey! Brownies should be GOEY!
