Timetable

These are by no means set in stone and I hope to allow enough flexibility to absorb days out, sofa days and unexpected changes of plan, while hopefully giving the boys the structure and routine they need.

For Jack I have separated work into three blocks
Self guided structured work — this will include Maths, English, History and Science. For this he has a list of activities for each week and it his job to manage the work into the allocated time. He has some word and number puzzle books which will work as extension activities.
Specific lesson blocks — these both boys will do together (although obviously slightly differentiated) and include French, Latin and Geography
Practical work — these are longer blocks which will encompass science practicals and hands on activities from Jack’s guided workbooks as well as project work and Art and Crafts and Music. They are intended as flexible sessions changing weekly.

There are also time slots for reading together (we plan to read all of the featured books in Jack’s English course) and piano.

For Sam, I will work with him on his structured stuff while Jack does his self-guided stuff. The rest of the time he will join in with Jack or do his own crafts/activities as appropriate.
